Delivery Policy

Our Goal:
When an order is placed with us for delivery, we have three goals in mind: "delivering your materials on-time, as ordered and in first-rate condition." With your help and cooperation, our delivery policy will ensure the quality service we are committed to provide. Please read and familiarize yourself with these policies. As always, we welcome your questions and comments.

Standard Delivery Charges:

A $20.00 fuel charge will be added to the Standard Delivery Charges.

Any Deliveries beyond 50 miles will be rated at $1.75 per loaded mile.

These charges apply to deliveries within the seven county metro area and western Wisconsin (40 mile radius from our Stillwater location). Deliveries beyond our standard area will be assessed a delivery charge according to the distance and product. Please contact Roof Depot for a delivery rate quote for your specific needs.

Cancellations and Re-Schedules:
If you must cancel or re-schedule an order, please do so at least 24 hours before the delivery date. Orders are routed and staged the afternoon prior to delivery. Cancellation, or re-scheduling of an order that has already been loaded on our truck for delivery, causes delay to all other orders. A cancellation charge of $20.00 will be automatically assessed to your bill for such occurrences where the truck has been fully loaded with your order but did not leave the Roof Depot yard.

Re-Booms:
Please check your job sites for readiness, access and load-ability. If an order cannot be roof loaded due to conditions beyond our control, we will always attempt to contact the customer for instructions while at the job site. If an order must be returned for re-scheduling, the charge will be $50.00. In the event that other orders would be delayed, the order may be delivered to the ground at the job site. A return to the job site for transferring grounded materials to the roof will be charged $100.00. Delivery delays are most commonly caused by the following oversights.
1. Job site not ready
2. Job site not accessible
3. Incorrect address
4. Order cancelled after the truck leaves the warehouse

New Construction Access:
Please have all the new construction access roads graveled and capable of supporting 60,000 LB/GVW trucks. Large trucks get stuck easily and may require towing. Roof Depot drivers have been instructed not to enter any unsafe or unpassable roads or driveways.

Driveway Waivers:
Roof Depot requires our drivers to obtain a "driveway damage waiver" prior to entering a driveway. The weight of the delivery truck as well as the inability to judge the structural integrity of a driveway area makes it necessary to adhere to this policy. The waiver may be signed by an employee, authorized sub-contractor or the property owner. In the event the waiver is not signed or if the driver believes that damage to the driveway will take place, the driver will drop the shingles in the most appropriate place or as instructed by the job site personnel.

Drops:
At the request of our customers, Roof Depot will drop material off at an unattended job site. The packing list will be left with the product. We request the installers check the delivery with the packing list prior to the start of the project to insure all materials were delivered as ordered. Please notify Roof Depot as soon as possible if there are any discrepancies. Since we cannot insure the materials against theft, we cannot be held liable for job site material shortages on drops.

Delivery Times:
In meeting your delivery expectations, we will make every attempt to accommodate your desired delivery schedule, however, we can make no firm commitments to the exact time-of-day for delivery. Rather, we schedule for: (1) First AM deliveries, (2) AM before noon deliveries, and (3) PM after noon deliveries. This will be communicated to you at the time you place an order. All drivers are equipped with cell phones for direct communication and will contact you as requested for an estimated time of arrival.
If you have a request for a specific delivery time, Roof Depot will make every effort to accommodate. When you place your order with the customer service department, please inform them of your need and they will make every effort to meet your requested time.
