We are looking for a diligent Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for roofing projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills and an analytical mindset with the ability to visualize a finished product. Must be willing and able to learn new products, services, and software.

Duties and Responsibilities (not inclusive):

• Understand the project/program and its requirements
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
• Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, vendors
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, equipment etc.
• Use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
• Collaborate with general contractors to ensure cost effective roof systems are utilized while providing value engineering options to maintain budgets
• Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions etc.)
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
• Organize technical data, product information, shop drawings, detail drawings and material samples for approval via submittals process
• Stay up to date with manufacturer installation requirements and material changes and how they affect the market and costs associated
• Attend manufacturer training/education to stay abreast of design requirement changes and code specific requirements related to roofing
