Progress Billing Specialist - Commercial Roofing

Description

Responsible for all Monthly AIA contract billing submissions to customers as well as other customer contract duties that the job may require. The ideal person would be a self-starter, highly organized, and who has good communication and collaboration skills and experience multi-tasking and resolving issues with a positive attitude, solid, clear communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Process weekly and monthly contract progress billings based on a schedule of values.
Compiling required backup documentation for progress billings.
Reviewing contract documents for billing requirements.
Assist Contract Manager in project set up in Salesforce.
File liens when necessary.
Prepare and send preliminary notices.
Assist in following up on payments.
Ensuring all billings are prepared and submitted to the customer timely.
Other routine or ad-hoc duties delegate by Contracts Manager.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Competencies
- Prior experience with construction contract billings.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively navigate various customer website and web forms.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate multi-tasking skills while working with multiple managers and teams.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Need to be highly organized and have a strong attention to detail.
- Notary a plus.
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test
Education and Experience
- 3+ years in an administrative or accounting role in a medium to large sized construction company. Preferably in a role dealing with customer contracts and billing.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, talk, or hear for long periods of time throughout an 8-hour workday
- Must be able to use repetitive hand motion, reach and bend
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be available to work in the office.
